Pertaining to Marriage

What’s Mine is Yours

In the Business of Marriage

As you all know, I am a zorb football/dodgeball referee. Thus far, I have exclusively worked with stag parties, but I am happy to announce that I’ve been offered an occasional job teaching dances at hen parties! When it comes to marriage, It’s a really energised environment, because everyone’s there to celebrate. It makes each shift fun and diverse! Next step: singing at weddings (the pinnacle of marriage-related shifts)!

Talk about marriage, I saw my Company husband this past week for the first time in forever. Emma, Kelly, Coran<3 and I took a day trip to Alton Towers, and it was one of the best days I’ve had at a theme park. Unlike the parks in the US, Alton Towers was built on beautifully expansive grounds, with stone hedges and towers (duh) that seemed otherworldly in their grandeur and age…. I’m going to have to look up what purpose Alton Towers had before it became an amusement park….

It could also work as a great place for a wedding and reception, tehehe.

My Journey

What I’ve been forced to realise this past week, is that “what’s mine is yours” is very much the case when I share happenings/musings on my blog. In some ways, I feel as though it allows me to create a story (that just happens to be mine)! The more I write, the more I’m willing to share. In some ways, it helps me to disconnect and reflect. I don’t get “caught up” in things as much anymore, and I am also reminded of how much I’ve achieved in the past week. I think I’m much happier now that I write the blog.

However, there are some repercussions. I used to be very weary of what I shared on here, asking myself "what type of things would be appropriate to write about” and that became more and more “what are people interested in reading”. Funnily enough, people like the truth. The most engaging writing is the least contrived and covert.

This past week, I was reminded that people all over the world read this blog. I’ve even got a following in Russia (and have no idea how)! Should I be using pseudonyms and asking my friends whether they were “okay” when their names popped up on the blog? Should I be more selective in my topics of discussion, more reserved in my writing?

And then I remember: engaging art is not normally tactful.

And with that, I'm going to cut this blog short and say that there's no more (but in a way too many things) to share here!
