The Post that Hits 2000
Dear Readers,
Thank you for reading. It feels reassuring to reach this wonderful number: 2000. I haven't actually reached it yet. I'm on 1929 views… but you are contributing right now, and I'm sure 2000 is well underway!

With No Further Ado,
I Will Inform You
On my life in Cardiff,
and Trip Across the Blue
The first leg of the trip was much more shaky than most; as we traversed through the sky to Amsterdam, I clutched my complimentary cab-sav-merlot to my tray table as the red liquid shook daringly against the clear plastic cup. The baby in the seat next to me squealed with rage, as he abandoned all reserve with his cries, defying his bedtime. The lady to my left ate two breakfast sandwiches, and I wondered whether or not we were going to get a meal on the flight. It was a horrendous, hollow feeling.
I wished I had reviewed KLM flights before I had boarded.
The flight, however, levelled out eventually. I was able to down the rest of my glass without spillage, then I looked down to my left. The lady with the breakfast sandwiches actually brought her little pup on board, zipped up in a gym bag! She was letting him stick his head up for a breather; I felt relieved.
On my way to the bathroom for the routine wash/brush/rinse before slumber, I stood in line with a man called Humayun from Lyon, France. He was a gynaecological surgeon. I said, "I am pursuing musical theatre." He said, "Ah, an artist! I am an artist… a manual one." Then, he noted that I was shivering. I grabbed my coat from my seat and returned, but that wasn't enough for him. As our conversation progressed, he pulled me to his side, saying, "Here, I give you temp-er-atchuh." Seriously, who is this man that I just met, who is pressing my head into his chest? I felt warm and comforted though, so I didn't really fight it. He held me very firmly too. Hmm…
The bathroom opened, and I waited for him to retreat into it. He didn't, so I said I was going to the toilet. He was chatting to others when I emerged, so I said goodnight. How odd. Perhaps it was his work in gynaecology that made him very comforting and bizarrely attractive. I wish I had photographed him. He wore a silk scarf tucked into his collared shirt and v-neck sweater. Don't fret, I took a photo of another passenger though!
It was 6am in Amsterdam, but we became fast friends. We managed to exchange seats on the leg to Cardiff so I could sit with her, and life became increasingly exciting as we descended into our new home.
| I Spent the Majority of the Trip Debating Whether I Should Ask Permission for This Photo. Worth it. |
Meeting Laura Platt
This girl will be studying the same degree as me at RWCMD - the MAMT. Yeah, I know neither of those acronyms make sense. Get over it.
(Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama - Masters of Musical Theatre).

This Place is So Cool.
The day was warm in the sun, but you could see the pools of water from a late shower. We strode through the town, walking towards the city center, figuring out our needs for the upcoming year. I am enthralled with the architecture. So quaint! So stately!

Before and after shots…
I hope I somehow find designated space for my pile of scarves. The righthand side of the desk serves as a, "where will this go?!" area.
And the Best Part of All…
My flatmates are awesome. We decided to cook a communal dinner and talk about our experiences getting into college. Tommy and Louis are from China, both voice majors (jazz and opera respectively). I told them about my guitalele, Jubilee, and we agreed to have jam-sessions.
