Hit the Ground Running
Straight for the Finish Line
I arrived in Cardiff Sunday. I began sessions Monday.
We've started the rush to find the perfect songs and speeches for our Showcase in Week 4. Viv is dubbing this week "Week 0", because let's face it, the official term begins next week! It's great to get ahead and prepare for the most crucial event of our degree: The Musical Theatre Showcase. we'll be performing for an audience replete with fellow actors and (very importantly) ***casting directors and agents***.
Is anyone else overly excited right now?!
Oh, just me.
Hehehe
I've come to the conclusion that I need something driving, something memorable, something bold. No "Sal loves singing relaxed songs" in this term! I've got a few ideas up my sleeve, and you'll just have to stick around and see the finished product. We'll be performing in Cardiff and London. Any takers?
Saying Goodbye
"We have to say goodbye; all things have to end". -t.kitt
I left the States without catching up with a lot of my good friends and family. It was such a short trip! Many positive things happened though. For one, my dad resigned from his job, and I resultantly spent a week as his partner in crime, playing tennis in the mornings, going on errands during the day.

Dad and I had a particularly memorable time shopping for rainproof gear to bring back to Cardiff. For a woman who has endured way too much chilly/wet weather this year, I am actually looking forward to hopping on my bike in my pristine pair of rain pants. I will be the belle of the ball, you watch! Now that Dad's resigned, he wants to devote his time to flipping houses, so we saw a few interesting properties, and he's off to see more this week! Good luck, Pop-n-stop (aka +Nick Horton). Wish I could still be there with you!
I got treated to some outstanding grub while at home, restaurants chosen by +David Horton and +Caitlin Roberts. I believe I ate more pork belly during this vacation than I have the rest of my life! Oh, the woes of all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurants. Not to mention, I actually endured... no wait... enjoyed beer! Many thanks to Galaxy Hut and Alex the bartender, who proceeded to give me testers of many a splendid beer before I bought one. Repeat x3. You can all see where that night may have headed...

Spending time with my mum and the Zarragas has also been exciting, even though we celebrate the same way every time: with heaps of food!

Cardiff is My Home Right Now
I've made a pact with myself: don't look ahead, don't look behind. Enjoy right now and attend to what's going on right here! This is something I have difficulty doing (who doesn't like planning ahead!) but I'm going to apply myself and move on without worry or restraint. My goal for this term is to accept and progress, not anticipate and premeditate. If you read my last post, you know I'm wondering where I'm going to end up. Since I'm not going to think about it, make some valid points in favour of wherever you want me to end up, hehehe. I'll attend to these points when the time is ripe, yes?
Not Following My Own Rules
Look! Look! My Alma Mater has moved to the top 50 Universities Worldwide! I remember applying for overseas Unis back in 2009 and choosing world-ranked institutions in the top 100. We've come a long way, +UNSW Australia! Click Here to Read More
What with UNSW in the top 50 worldwide and RWCMD #1 for drama in the UK, I guess you expect me to be somewhat good at what I do.
What a joke! Hehehe
Laterzzzz
