Life is Like a...

The United States of America

I have been traveling like a pack mule the past week! The 9hr drive from Edinburgh to Cardiff, a day of "rest", then flights to Virginia via Amsterdam. Dad picked me up and we progressed to biking around the neighbourhood before dinner. The next morning we were up at the crack of dawn, rallying on the tennis court. Life was good, refreshing. And then, Sal packed again. We were off to Delaware to enjoy some time at the beach, and of course, family in DE and MD.

Once in DE, life was like a slowing clock. I napped at the pool for hours, getting my tanning body to look like an unflipped burger. My walking speed slowed, my sense of urgency completely dissipated. It's a side of Sally that no one really knows. Meeting up with different constituents of the family on Saturday and Sunday, I could just relax and be merry! Not to mention I left my license in Cardiff, so I was excluded from driving duty. Vin Rouge si'l vous plait!

Hey, Hermano!

Dave and I are like peas in a pod. You'll find us together in the kitchen, on the courts (I am getting my groove back and was occasionally whooping him), and of course on the beach. Here's a photo of a generic sky and semi-wet Hortons. I promise it was taken at Bethany beach, and yes, I'm topless.
I'm Also Joking, of course I'm Wearing a Cozzie!

Now That I'm Back

I've acted like the house clown! Vangie was trying to take a nap this morning, so I decided to show her that I could indeed sing and play harmonica simultaneously. I've whipped out the castanets, which I still have no clue how to use. I've been strumming on the guitalele incessantly. My one day off traveling and I'm so freaking bored. I need a project, a goal! Well then, I'll go ahead and sit at the piano while intermittently going out on the deck to practice my archery. I'm acting like an ADHD child. Needless to say, home is more vibrant with Sal around. Whether it's more enjoyable... Well, probably not. Oh well, C'est La Vie!

p.s. Yes, this blog is late, and the next one will also be late. Until I get back into the college groove, I would prefer writing after the events of the weekend rather than before it begins! Next week:  Meeting Charlotte Marie Horton!
