Will you be my Somebody?

Done. Caput.

After a two-week run of Company, we are all wondering how the hell we got here, where the hell we're going, what the hell we're doing. So long we've waited for the moment to get out in the real world and audition for shows, and now that we are leaving our comfort blanket (RWCMD) it is getting increasingly scary. We sit in the dressing rooms, looking longingly at one another, hugging and saying sentimental things while also doing the usual day-to-day processes to get the show going.

"The Role You Were Born to Play. Crazy Woman with Commitment Issues."

-Harry Collins

Playing Amy in Company has been such a delight. Sometimes I think, "perfect, since she's so crazy, I don't have to be." Other times, it's quite obvious that I am ultra crazy because I practice being crazy every day!

It's a Good Look.

The feedback from the show has been really solid. Most of my tutors have congratulated me for my role, I've had a lot of random people asking about the accent and singing a patter song with such apparent ease! It has been an incredible journey. The most wonderful audience, however, was having my family join me last Saturday. Mom and Dad were planning on coming for a while now, and I was ecstatic at the end of the show, ready to go see them for the first time since their arrival in Cardiff. As I was changing, the choreographer comes in saying, "Sally, your brother looks Exactly like you." I literally screamed and ran out of the dressing rooms, only to see her dismay: either she ruined a surprise, or it wasn't him at all.

Turns out it was him. I was a teary mess.
Subsequently, some of my cast started crying.
Oh the beauty.

Thanksgiving Revisited

We had a "proper" Thanksgiving dinner, a week or so late, but with the people I love! I took this wonderfully candid shot of my flatmate Nana with my Mum and Caitlin's flowers in the background. Gotta love it!

#Grateful.

We've Got One Show Left.

Let's smash it, Company cast!

Absolutely, positively love this cast. All my well-wishes for tonight, loves! Each and every one of you has played an enormous role in my life, and I am just so glad. You all are so good. So good.
