The Sally that Never Sleeps
I am Officially on Leave
This weekend I completed my last shifts at Ben's before bidding adieu. Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night (had zorb earlier that day as well) and a double on Sunday. Naturally my boss wanted to milk me before I left (not literally). It wasn't the best of times, but it wasn't the worst of times, and as far as I know, my cruise is going to be treated as vacation. They're giving me my job back in the new year. Yes.

| One of my Managers. She'll kill me for posting this... :P |
I've had a really great week. I mean, I met Imelda Staunton! She dismissed our request for a photo with a "Sorry, Darling, I don't do photos" but by all means she was dynamite on stage. So much punch in a little package! I realise I say "our" request. Drumroll Please...
Emma Hickey came to visit me in ol' London! She's a great friend from my course in Wales, and she just invested in a three bedroom, three storey house in Merthyr that has an outdoor spa and an island in the kitchen, renovations galore and so so So much space. Ergo, she will continue to be a great friend, and I can't wait for the housewarming. She's pretty freaking awesome.

Lucky me, in between zorb sessions, I got a chance to Skype with my niece, Charley. She was busy trying on her halloween costume and making "elephant" noises. She liked the costume for a good 7 minutes before making annoyed noises, grabbing at her hood. Phil quickly let her loose of her trunk. She's such a cutie. Can't wait to see her in person! When? You never know with me, do you?

Packing.
If you know me at all, you know that packing can be a disastrous ordeal (should I only bring one colour scheme in clothes and how do I layer this for warmth?) I remember skyping mum before I left for Edinburgh, having a bit of a crisis. Imagine this: all my clothes adorning my bed and me trying to mix and match tops and bottoms and choose the most versatile items. It didn't quite work. I got to Edinburgh, and I had to buy clothes anyway (their August is like, cold. Like, really cold.)
You can imagine what I'm like packing for freezing Sweden. I want to bring oversized jumpers, boots, coats hats gloves, but of course, how am I going to write you every week without my laptop?! Things are getting a bit heavy and I am allowed 20kg only. May I bring a carry-on? I really do hope so. Someone, help.
Everything is culminating this coming week. Friends to see, shows to see, got to get to the post office, buy travel insurance. With a weekend as hectic as the one I had, I've been a bit frantic trying to do everything. I haven't slept through a whole night since Tuesday. I'm a bit of a mess.
I am the Sally that Never Sleeps!
As I type that, I feel my head drooping. a mid-morning nap is on the horizon. I've got an audition today too, so this better be short and sweet.
A week from today, I'll be clearing out and going on. Until then, stay sane.
