I've Been Looking Forward to This All Week

And Now I Don't Really Want to Speak My Mind.

Instead, I will endow you with photographs. I decided to bike to the city last Saturday, as it was a wonderfully warm day, and I was cooped up in my room otherwise. I ended up deliberating so long on which rain jacket to buy, that it was dark when I tried to retrieve my bike, which ended up being locked in the grounds of Bute Park overnight! But hey, it is a beautiful little place with a beautifully huge palace.

While I was out,

I found this pin, and was reminded sorely of Australia. I've been missing Australia a helluva lot lately, and it's been a struggle to stay positive about Cardiff. Being here has been a very big eye-opener to me; I am not as flexible as I thought when it came to living in different places. There's nothing wrong with Cardiff, or the course. I just wonder whether I chose to move prematurely; that I had unwisely truncated my time in Australia.

And then here's the spin:  I'm here for a reason. If I were meant to be in Australia, I wouldn't have received and accepted my place at this institution last April. I know that the majority of my problem is a lack of mental commitment. This I learned from the infamous +Thomas Dobson. So… Mental commitment to Cardiff it is.

But it all goes in circles. I'm here to study Musical Theatre, so I really invest in my lessons and getting to be in tip-top shape vocally and physically. I don't allow myself to have fun, and I exhaust myself.

A Day of Normalcy

I had to get my bike the next day, so I ended up going into the city once more. Luckily, my bike had not been stolen (I have a poor lock), and I traipsed upon a new shop for rain jackets. And voila! I actually chose one! Oh, the little successes in life.

And a Day of "Normalcy"

The girls and I decided to just chill last weekend. It was a relaxing time, with The Addams Family on the tele as we sat, chatted, and of course sang. We were creating some beautiful harmonies, so I decided to record a bit… Except for Laura, the girls were unknowing, hehehe. So I leave you with this - Life is a Cabaret, ol' chum. Come to the Cabaret.
