Your Friday's Been Good, Yeah?
Hello Readers.
I have now successfully updated my blog weekly for almost five months! That's nearly half a year (bet I didn't need to tell you that). Thank you all for reading, and to all of you who have contacted me because of this blog, additional thanks.
That being said, I've had a realisation that some readers may not really know me. Looking at the stats over the past week, I've had views from Germany, Cyprus, Poland and Ireland (along with the expected US, Aus, and UK). Well readers, as much as this makes me self-conscious, it also makes me wonder how many more I can attract by the end of the year! Let's start on this mission with the delight that is Cardiff's Spring. As you can see from the photos, +Laura Platt and I spent a lot of time relaxing in Bute Park. What you can't see, is the combat training sessions I had with @Tommy Xu in that same park. He's gradually learning how to stomach a punch.

Adina's Back!
+Adina Wells stopped by Cardiff for two days, showing the place around to her mom, who has come from NJ for a visit! Welcome to you both, or as they say in Wales, Croeso! We went to this awesome restaurant that served all things Vegan and Vege. I may have ordered a chilli-mint-rum cocktail that night (delicious). Adina left today to train up to Edinburgh, where she'll be spending the next few days.
Talk about Edinburgh…
You are looking at the blog of a lady who just got a part in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! The Festival is the largest arts festival in the world, so obviously it's going to be a blast; word-of-mouth tells me that Edinburgh is a completely different city during the festival. The performances are varied, dynamic, and forward thinking. The show I'll be in, Fleeced!, takes a satirical approach to Greek Mythology. I think its ingenuity lies in the fact that all the characters, which we know from our "Ancient Mythology" course in 2nd grade, are portrayed in a way easily understood by today's audience. Here's the trailer (they concocted this for their Cardiff fun; i.e. before I got onboard).
Halfway to Fifty!
Did I say that out loud? We celebrated Alice's 25th birthday this week at Viva Brazil, which to my dismay is a meat buffet. Lucky winner Lewis poses after eating fifteen different types of meat. I stuck to the salad bar, as prior experience tells me the meat-fest is an uncomfortable experience.

The Highlight of my Week
@Patricia Vallis invited Laura and I to come to class with Ballet Cymru, a small ballet company based in Newport. The company has nine members, two of whom are Australians! I felt right at home, dancing the dance I love and hearing the accent I love (Robbie, a 21 year old from Cairns, sounded so similar to my beloved @Tim Green).
