Sword in Hand
Combat
Term finished, we had our ball, and concluded our run of The World Goes Round. And indeed, it does go round to more things! This week, we started another three day course with @Kev McCurdy learning sword fighting. It was absolutely exhausting, starting at either 8 or 9 each morning, doing a quick workout/warmup and then picking up our weapons. Interestingly, Sharon and I embraced the swords and just went for it. The whole studio filled with clattering swords and metal on metal, making the hair on one's back rise. Kev has been such a great influence on us; he comes in with a positive attitude, a wide grin, and hostile actions that scream finesse. It's an art in itself. Kev studied Tai Chi as well... you won't believe this, but he asked all of us to close our eyes, and he was able to "push" us over without touching us... the energy just washed over and we fell backwards. You may not believe me; that's fine. But it happened. Each and every one of us (skeptical or not) responded to his energy.

No More Student Living
Also this week, I spent my last days at Liberty Severn Point. Mariza left on Monday, and had it not been for a visitor, I'd have been all alone! Luckily for me, I was housing +Melissa Bayern, a girl who got onto our course for next year. Melissa has worked in NYC as an actress and she's coming to me for advice on our course? It's actually the most bizarre thing. We discussed differences between working in the NYC vs London vs a cruise ship, hahaha, but I am so grateful to this girl for opening my eyes to something more, and filling my home with life!

The Solace Loft is awesome. Sure, it's further away from College, but my bedroom is absolutely wonderful, with a window opening on a back garden, en-suite bathroom (also with window), and located in a family-oriented neighbourhood. The bike ride to College is getting easier each day, even though my brakes aren't working properly, and I am a potential threat to everyone in close proximity, most of all myself! I'll take a quick look at them tomorrow, I promise. It's just been a struggle to get to college at 9am every day, and to arrange to look at my brakes before then? Preposterous!

Gettin' Fleeced!
We are less than a week away from our preview performance in Cardiff. I am not sure if I am scared, excited, or just normal. The production has been put to a halt for quite some time, with Alice and I busy with The World Goes Round up until last week. However, we've come on board of Fleeced! and are busy fighting/crying/laughing/dying (sounds almost like a Sondheim lyric) day in and day out. With 9-6 rehearsals every day, I haven't really sorted my life out, but it'll come, one day at a time. I'll get to my laundry eventually, Mom, don't worry.
Kev came in today and gave us a little session to fight during my big vocal number, "Back Off", where I battle with the God of the Underworld, Hades! I cannot wait to be hot and sweaty and then going straight into singing. Thankfully The World Goes Round got me in shape, here's a sneak peak of our fight scene... and my current Bio:
