Saturday 2 Sunday
Sorry everyone for the delay. I hope you waited with baited breath, because this is probably the best post I'll ever write. This week has been a whirlwind of craziness. Since I last wrote, I've:
- seen four shows, and fell in love with physical theatre (again),
- learned to make cappuccinos (and exploded a jug of boiling milk on my hand),
- competed in the Dunvant Competition,
- gave a tour at college and caught up with Viv (head of course), Bruce (director) and Jamie (director),
- trained as an usher at Sherman Theatre,
- gave my first Skype voice lesson to +Cameron Chu
- got the bakery job, and
- secured another interview... for being a zorb football referee! Yeah, I definitely recommend looking up zorb football. It's hilarious.

Listen Up
So what does one do on Valentine's Day? I competed in the Dunvant "Welsh Singer of the Year" Competition firstly. It was very fun to meet up with +Caitlin Mckee, Kyleigh and +Melissa Bayern from this year's MAMT (Masters of Musical Theatre) group and the infamous Alice Jarvis from my year. Leading up to the competition, I was rehearsing with James constantly. It really helped me to figure out what I wanted to do musically and emotionally, which was wonderfully productive. Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but James will be part of my New Year's resolution. We've agreed to learn two songs a fortnight! This time around, we concentrated on my repertoire for the competition: I Can't Stop Talking About Him and Back to Before. Next week we will branch into new repertoire; I'll let you know whether we'll be able to keep this up. Fingers crossed. x
After the competition, I had every intention of just biking home and spending the rest of the day writing you and sitting in bed, maybe reading a play (to fulfil another New Year's resolution to read a play a week). I was really close to Tommy's +shijie xu house though, so I stopped by. That turned into a 2hr date at Coffee #1, then we spent the rest of the day jamming at James and Matt's place. So much for my relaxing Saturday evening!

Here's a little snippet from our jam session. Thank you Rodgers & (surprise!) Hart. What an appropriate song for the day.

Reunited
Thanks to Emma Hickey, we had a wonderful catch-up among MAMT 2014s. Thanks to Retro, we got complimentary drinks and a cheerful birthday reception. We began celebrations at 1430 then kept going until dark!

Happy Birthday to the Girl who Doesn't Look - or Act - her age!
(Kelly's busy documenting it too, hehehe).
And Let's Finish with My Husband, Yeah?
Cor and I tend to spend a lot of quality time in the Disney store, as he's desperately trying to find all the Disney movies with a certain label. It is beyond me, really, but he's good company so I don't mind. I think he's a real keeper. Do you foresee any problems in our marriage? Me neither (let's just ignore the fact that he's in a committed relationship with a man).
Hehe, love you Coran. <3
Reflection
So turns out this isn't the best blog post I've ever written. But there have been some great advances in my life, and it's been a fruitful three weeks back in Cardiff. I know this year is going to fly by (it's just my style to keep ultra busy), plus, there's definitely some achievements in training that I've accomplished. Securing a job at a bakery cafe means that I'll have extensive knowledge in making coffee... which translates well, whatever country you're in. That's also the case with my silver service dining skills from the county club. The zorb football job seems really fun and pays well, so fingers crossed that interview is successful!
My new year's resolutions are kinda self-explanatory, giving me momentum in the industry, keeping me on my toes. I must keep focused on these things amidst all the other stuff that I'm doing.
Also revelation: maybe I should just move to London? Jamie suggested to go sooner than later; with only two years in this country, I've gotta go hard or go home, ya know? Anyway, something to think about in the coming year. But for now, let's get the auditions coming in and the cash flow keeping on coming.
