Constant Circulation
Crazed.
What with last weekend's trip to London and taking care of Dill (the senile dog-sitting gig which worried me so much, it affected my sleep), I was completely unprepared for the happenings of this week. Like Amy says to Robert in Company, I felt that "this is the real me. Crazed." I did stupid things, like use the same adjective twice when speaking to someone. Can't my silly brain think of another adjective?!
Sickness.
As the RWCMD MAMTs (masters of musical theatre) dropped like flies, so did our focus in the rehearsal room. Stomach flu caused many of us to go home sick and the rest of us to proceed tentatively, wearily watching each other to see who was the next victim. I made sure to wash my hands, eat my greens and drink plenty of water to allay the germs from spreading, and touch wood, I'm retaining my health.
London.
| Model: Sal. Photographer: Tommy. ... I'm glad I'm not a real model and he's not a real photographer. |
London with Tommy was great, but far from relaxing. We had a packed day in the city, shopping, watching Urinetown, meeting Tommy's friend, Jo, and shopping some more! The day finished with me walking home at midnight, thanking my former self for bringing a torch (i.e. flashlight), and wondering how loudly I would have to scream if someone abducted me, and what I could use as a potential weapon.

Funny Story Though. The morning's shopping was rushed, because I wanted to make sure we had enough time for lunch (an understandable concern, of course). I asked Tommy what he wanted to buy, and he said "a coat and skinny jeans."
Well, as I reprimand him for looking at sweaters and force him into different coats, he gets frazzled by my forthright approach. He still bought the coat I picked out, so I thought it was a success. He tried on some skinnys in the next store, but thought they didn't suit him. At the end of the night (to his dismay) I told him we'll finish shopping! I picked out a sweater for him, he pulled a face, tried it on, and then realised: he looked good. He then instructed me to find other "ugly things" to try on. I brought over two shirts and a pair of deep denim jeans. He bought every single item.
What with my general mishmash of clothing, I am the most unstylish stylist there is! Tommy's revamped wardrobe is spot on. So much so that his "Chinese Food Party", scheduled for Wednesday night, had a green theme to accommodate his latest purchases. I went by the way, the food was superb, and I was able to catch up with long-lost roommate, +Laura Platt!
The Coolest Thing Ever.
I am a sucker for the unicycle. This is probably one of the reasons I'm so tired, but I am just so addicted. Every day after college, I'd stay and have a go on the unicycle. Tuesday (lucky Tuesday), I went to No Fit State to train properly. My trainer, Ben, was so encouraging and sweet. We'd have discussions about learning styles, psychology, and long-distance unicycling, while I nonchalantly rode around the room, barely using him for support! It was a great session, and I learned heaps. I can't wait to go back next week and have practiced every day since, but someone, please tell me to take a rest sometime! Life's exhausting enough as it is.
I'm not the only one learning tricks though. Alice and Coran are coming to College with cuts, bruises, and sore muscles due to their rope training, and Becky is learning crazy moves on the trapeze! The boys had a go at some stunting today, and as I gasped and screamed like the big wuss that I am, they accomplished things spectacular.
